Nifty PSU Bank index gains; Union Bank of India up 3%

The Nifty PSU Bank index gained for the sixth consecutive session in an otherwise weak market. The index has been rising since Shaktikanta Das was named the 25th governor of the Reserve Bank of India last week after the sudden exit of former Governor Urjit Patel.
