Equity benchmark indices opened higher on Thursday tracking strong global cues, expiry of January F&O series contracts, and ahead of the interim budget on Friday.The Sensex rose 285 points to 35,876, while Nifty rose 68 points to 10,720. The market breadth was narrow with 881 shares advancing, 773 shares declining, and 435 remaining unchanged.
