Central agencies to procure mustard, masoor from Madhya Pradesh

For chana, officials said a decision on direct purchase could be taken in the next few days. The procurement would be done through NAFED, SFAC, and Food Corporation of India The Centre has directed its agencies to purchase 390,400 tonnes of mustard and 136,808 tonnes of masoor from Madhya Pradesh, days after the state government decided to remove the two commodities along with gram from the Price Deficiency Payment scheme (Bhavantar Bhugtan Yojana).
